About the course

We have a huge range of trainers and contacts who can talk through almost any area relevant to policy or politics. Whether you need a deep dive on fiscal policy, or a masterclass on Twitter, we'll find someone to suit your needs.
Whether you have worked in Westminster previously or not, our Skills Surgeries provide 1-on-1 advice sessions. We offer deep dives on particular areas you want to understand better, or approach differently.

This course will cover

• Media management

• How to run effective campaigns

• How to take legislation through Parliament

• Policy development

• Party mechanics

…as well as bespoke discussions on anything else you would like to troubleshoot or hear more about.

Our cross-party network of expert trainers includes former and current parliamentary advisors, office managers, MPs, caseworkers and journalists, who are perfectly equipped to help you prepare and prioritise.

We know Westminster is a small place, and it can be hard to ask for advice or support. All discussions are confidential, and our trainers are discreet and understanding. All our training covers best practice across political party divides, but we can match you with an expert from your own political party if you wish.

The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) recognises courses for parliamentary staff that concentrate on parliamentary work as a 'claimable cost.' If you work for an MP,and your advice session is about parliamentary work only (as opposed to political campaigning), then you can claim for this course as part of your MP’s staff training budget.
